Worship Update November 13, 2020

First Lutheran Family,

Our church council and ministry moving forward committee (COVID Coordination Team) have been in thoughtful deliberation about the state of our community’s health and how we should respond as a congregation.

In light of recent increases of Covid cases and in response to the county health order to limit indoor gatherings to 10 people, we will be suspending in-person worship for now. Our Sunday morning 10am service will continue to be live-streamed to Facebook and uploaded to YouTube at 3pm.

Our church council and ministry moving forward committee will continue to review the situation and respond to county health orders. This was an incredibly difficult thing to do earlier this spring, but we know it was the responsible and ultimately compassionate thing to do. The same is true now.

More information will be mailed out to the congregation next week. In the meantime, please stay safe, practice responsible health precautions, and rest in the comfort and peace that God is our constant companion, walking with us in the valley and to the mountain tops.

As was our practice in the spring, we will continue to find creative ways to stay connected with God and each other. Our office will remain open with limited staff, in an effort to continue to be available for you.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Council President Robert Hanna or Pastor Jenny.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:4-7)

In Christ,

First Lutheran Church Council
